Champion Friesian Stallion at Stud in Florida

"Imke" is one of the finest Friesian stallions offered for breeding in the United States . He was the Champion of the Stallion Performance Test in Germany his first time presented, and gained his approval in Europe . He is one of the only approved stallions standing in the US who is by Lute, which is a very unique bloodline in this country.

The Stallion Performance Test requires that the horses perform under saddle as well as in harness. They even have to jump a course which includes a Liverpool jump. The scoring is very difficult and less than 1/2 of 1% of all colts born ever get looked at for stallion approval, and Imke was the Champion of the Test. He is one of the few stallions in the world who was approved by both the Dutch judges and the German judges. He gained conformation approval from the Dutch, but his owner lived in Germany , and he went through the SPT there. He is eligible for re-presentation to the Dutch judges. He has an impeccable full Dutch pedigree.

Currently, Imke resides in Central Florida and travels the Nation performing in exhibitions in Side Saddle and Dressage. He is schooling fourth level and has unmistakable talent for Grand Prix. Imke has performed many times at the Kentucky Horse Park and is continually the favorite among spectators. His manners are impeccable and his characteristics show through heavily in his foals.

Imke is duly registered and approved with the Friesian Horse Society, Registration Number 040001794. His DOB is 9/5/94. Imke is sired by Lute 304 and is out of the Ster Mare Valerie B (registration number 1999004430). Lute 304 is by Djurre 284 and Valerie B is by Teake 273. His foals are currently eligible for both the FHS and FPZV registries.

Imke was Champion of the Stallion Performance Test in Germany in 1998. He has led the equine section of the Kentucky Derby Parade, The Friesian Breed Section of the Georgetown, KY All Horse Parade, Breed Demos from Equine Affaire in Ohio and Kentucky to daily Breed Exhibitions in the Parade of Breeds at the Kentucky Horse Park. Breed demos at the Stallion Showcase in Florida and Georgia Horse Council's Stallion Showcase in Perry, GA., Alabama Horse Fair Breed demo. 2006 will be his third year greeting people coming into the Gainsville Hoggetowne Medieval Fair.
